It's called expanded metal. It's very thick stuff.

There's a friend around here that uses the gutter guard, but as soon as a
rock hits it, it bends and deforms. He's already asked me numerous amounts
of time to help him make one like mine. Hehe.

Try home depot or any other kind of hardware store and just ask for it. A
Sheet costs like 15 bucks though and you'll need REALLY good diagonal
cutters to cut it.

I have been trying to come up with something like yours but my problem is
that I tried to use the rain guards but they are to short to go over both
grille that are attached to the hood. Where did you get the grill material
from and what is it?
