I had a recent run-in with a deer that someone else hit. It was laying in
the road as I came around a curve. The only thing I had time to do was to
straddle it with the tires. There was a BIG bump under the truck and when I
checked things out the evap canister was gone. I never got a MIL lamp and my
code just shows 55. This is on a 97. BTW a new evap canister is about $94.
