On my trip up to St. Thomas and back last weekend, I averaged 19.9mpg;
I spent most of my time around 70mph or so on the way up, and 70-80 on
the way back with a little run up past 100 (oops!); this was with the
A/C on the whole time. I got 21mpg on my trip to Carlisle last year,
since I was in a convoy we kept the speeds within 5mph of the limit the
whole time. A/C was on the whole time that trip too. Stock, the truck
would get around 18mpg highway. The thing that made the biggest
improvement for me was the MPI intake.
The Ram is a WHOLE nother story. :-) I'm ecstatic when I hit 15mpg
with that beast. :-) Most of its driving is around town though so
I usually average 10mpg or so...
