Austin,
You can slid the lifters up out of the bores against the head gasket, put a
"bit" of extra pressure on the unused gasket material under the head, and
tilt them out. This is how I pulled/replaced mine. Worked like a charm.

Anyone have a surefire way to remove these things from the block? I really
don't want to go out and spend money on a tool I'll probably only use once,
so I'm hoping someone has a trick out there to get the roller lifters out.
