Wait 'til you get it fixed. You've probably been steadily losing more and
more power. Careful stepping on the gas cuz you'll go like a scalded cat.

Jon (and list),

I see no traces of oil underneath the vehicle. No evidence at all
of a leak, and no traces of oil in the coolant either. I just
looked inside my throttle body, and I see a small pond of oil there,
and beneath the pond, there is baked on oil.

So, it looks like the belly pan gasket is the culprit. I guess it
will have to wait till next weak though, as I'll be out of town
the rest of this week and the weekend. I'll check the oil very
frequently until I get it fixed though, as I definitely don't want
to burn the engine up. :)

Many thanks to all on this list that have responded to me both via
the list and privately with thoughts and suggestions.

I'm relieved to find it is the belly pan gasket and not something
like blown rings or other such terrible things. :)
