I own a 2001 R/T but I think it was made around 10/20/2000 or earlier, would a
2000 MP PCM work on my truck?

The difference is that as of 10/20/2000, they stopped putting the MP
PCM in the Durango R/T and left the stock one. R/T became an
appearance package for the Durango. The Dak R/T is still performance.
