If you have access to an air hammer, you can take it off easier. Just get a
bit that you can hold firmly against the side of nut and hammer it really
quick. The force will be enough to jolt free that big bolt. It's much
safer than putting a "stop" like a screw driver between the nuts then
attempting to struggle and loosen that huge nut by hand. I did mine when my
truck was still fairly new so it wasn't rusted or just seized on there, but
I'd prefer the air hammer method rather than cutting my fingers. Just a
suggestion.
