Subject: SD> The DV-SDAC is hosting our 2nd annual Cruise -N- 'Tech Clinic'
on
8.12.01 in NE Philly. Join us!!
MOPAR Brethren,
We, the Delaware Valley Chapter of the Shelby-Dodge Auto Club are having a
Cruise & Show, and MOPAR 'Tech-Clinic' on Sunday, August 12th, 2001 (11 am
till
they kick us out) in Northeast Philadelphia (near the Northeast Philadelphia
Airport) . This 'event' will include a DV-SDAC / Strauss Discount Auto
sponsored car show, performance and repair discussion groups for all MOPAR
fans, 'Clinics' to discuss specific do's and dont's covering specific
repair and performance topics, and even door-prizes and a significant
store discount in the Strauss discount Auto Store for all registered
attendees showing a car.
NOTE: It dosent have to be a "show car", it just has to be your baby...
;-)
Last year, we had several 'Performance Clinics', that were very successful.
Some of them were inside Strauss' bays, and others were outside in the
parking lot. There are a few spaces for tech-sessions still open. If you
would like to host a session, and share what you know (or what you have
accomplished) with others, please let us know ASAP!! You might be
surprised at how large your audience is!
We are currently expecting to have another "bleed-tech" clinic for turbo
owners who want to better understand what a bleed can do for your
turbo-MOPAR, and how to properly accomplish the task of installing the
proper bleed components.Mike Kelley [ cheapsk8racer@hotmail.com ]...you've
probably seen his Pink Shadow, GrassRoots MotorSports $2001 Challenge
Car...(It should be at this show! ) Mike will be one of the guys conducting
the bleed clinic, and will be installing a bleed on "somebody's car" (could
it be you!) .... If you have been wanting to fully understand how to
safely & properly 'bleed' your turbo , Join us!

controllers, as well as A/F gauges and other products for sale at the
show!!...He has also instructed us to raffle off a boost-controller-A/F
gauge setup! Join us, and for the price of a raffle ticket, you may win
one of Darren's excellent setups for your car. NOTE: ALL proceeds from
this raffle will go to the Carroll Shelby Children's Heart Fund
PLEASE!!!! Go to Darren's website, and take a look at his product line!!

We will be having a FWD MOPAR Speed-tech clinic! DV-SDAC is home to racing
'legends' like Steve Menegon and one of the fastest J-bod LeBarons anyone
has ever seen , Mike Marra and his awesome TII-"and then some"
"Contraption" Plymouth Horizon, and Brian Slowe and his 'Not-So-Slowe'
Turbo Dodge Shadow...They will be sharing "some" of what makes their cars
'go', and their ET's low, as well as answering questions. If you consider
yourself to be a good racer, you are more than welcome to share your
knowledge too! There will be some guest-speakers on this topic as well!!
(but bring your slips... talk is cheap ;-) )
We are also planning on a TIII (mysteries) clinic ;-) . The good, the bad,
and the ugly...tech, tools, and procedures for making it run right. Several
TIII guys from the R/T list will be there to discuss what makes the TIII
'run'.....uh...or NOT 'run'. got a TIII car? Be here!
My personal Favorite TIII car (mine) ;-)

sanctioned racing events...auto-X, hillclimb...etc. DV-SDAC 'works' AND
hosts events with the gracious assistance of the Susquehanna region SCCA,
and the SSCC. The Philadelphia Region SCCA SOLO rep will be at our show to
answer questions, and pass out SCCA Novice books. If you have been

& club racing events other than drag-racing...Join us!
