I have an M39 that I got through Southern Ohio Guns, The first one they sent
as cracked at the stress point behind the receiver ( sounds like what you're
talking about ). They replaced mine and the replacment one is beautiful. I am
a dealer though so they probably treat me a little better since I order so
much.
