| Hey,
| Does anyone know the EGT of a stock 98 5.2L or a blown (6PSI or 9PSI) of a
| 5.2L??? Along with monitoring the A/F I'd like to keep an eye on the EGT
| temp.

It depends. On my NA camaro cruise is Typically around 1500, and WOT around
1300-1350. You have to watch out though, as EGT's aren't linear, and oftern times react
differently than you would expect. More fuel can cool them down to a point, at which
unburnt fuel will make it into the header and burn there, causing the temp to go back up -
same with retarded timing - even a lean mixture with retarded timing can cause fuel to
get into the header and heat it up. On the flip side leaning the mixture will increase temps
normally - to a point - you can get so lean that you just really aren't making much heat
and temps will start to go back down. You always need to consider timing when considering
EGT's, since timing problems can effect it just like fuel problems. Absolute temp's
will vary also depending on location and type of thermocouple.

| Also, does anyone know of a GOOD wideband O2 sensor and Monitoring setup
| for the road (meaning in the car, not on a dyno)???

I have considered purchasing this one

it is an excellent price and I emailed them a couple times and got some promising replies, just
trying to decide if I need a wideband, new gears, etc. :)
