Hey Travis!

This has been an ongoing problem. My '92 started acting up after just 3
years. I had to get a new fuel pump last October, and they have to drop the
tank to do it. When they were done, the gage worked again. I don't know if
they touched anything as nothing was written on the work order. Sorry about
not being very specific!

It was not a major problem for me as I only drive it to work and back and I
fill up every other day -- 200-220 miles then. The low fuel light still
worked accurately, which amazed me. I don't understand how it is designed.

Subject: DML: Gas gauge woes

My gas gauge has just started wildly fluctuating the gas level shown. It is
hard to get a true reading of what the gas level is at and is impossible to
determine the gas level when moving (even on smooth highway). The gauge
flickers even when stopped in the driveway, so it is not the sloshing gas
making this occur. Any ideas on how to narrow this problem down?
