Todd,
I believe this is another one of those Chrysler things (like the brake
rotors). I use to have a '70 Dodge Dart. Think at the time it only had
around 60Kmi on it, and the heater core went on it too. Of course it blew
the beginning of December. Didn't get it replaced until spring. Man, was
that a cold winter!

Subject: DML: 97 Dak both evaporator and heater core shot!?!
Going through the painful process of replacing the evaporator. Now the
dealer tells me the heater core is also leaking. Only have 60K on the
truck. What are the odds?
I've never had a heater core or evaporator go on any other vehicle I've
owned. Let alone both at the same time. Could it be something I did (maybe
spending frigid winters up in the mountains)? Could it be a factory
installation problem? Any idea on whether it would be worth it to go after
Dodge for this?
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Todd
