It's a very good sign of a blown head gasket or God forbid a cracked
head. Most likely a gasket is blown between the water jacket and the cyl.
wall. Crank it up and let it idle for about 5 minutes. Then pull the spark
plugs, check each one and if one is wet or extremely clean, that's the cyl
that is getting water. Another trick is to loosen the radiator cap and see if
the vapor stops coming out of the tail pipe. look for bubbles coming into the
cooling system with the cap off.
A small leak will not effect performance that is noticable. Bill
