I've got an electric on my V8 and I get some bogging with the A/C on as well,
but the 90+ heat doesn't exactly help the situation - my truck has always felt
sluggish when the heat and humidity get way up there.

Check with Chuck on an electric setup for a '99 V6, he's got a real nice one.
