Jake; Another item to check is the brake light switch. After doing some
wiring under the dash about a month ago I had inadvertently bumped the
switch off its bracket. This produced two undesirable effects, the brake
lights were on ALL the time and the cruise control thought the brakes were
being applied so it wouldn't engage. Only took me a day and a half to
discover my brake lights were on continuously. ;-)
