Geoff, can U buy a wrecked 95 with a 318. Maybe one outta a junk yard. If you
did this U would have the OEM parts, and U could get a transmission along with
all the electronic parts as well. I have the exact same problem, I have a 91
that needs a transmission. I am buying a 96 with a 318 mag and an A500
transmission. I am going to pull the engine and transmission out in one peice
and then set it in my 91. I will just throw all the electronis things on top
and set it in. I am buying the wrecked 96 with the engine and transmission for
600 dollars. I would say I am coming outta this smelling like a rose. I also
will get a good bed and cab.
