 I have a Glasstite Targa "cab high".
The shell is carpeted, and I also have an (imitation) Bedrug.
As was mentioned allready there was no additional noise, if anything it was
quieter.
And the weight helped settle my rear also;-)

 MPG's... I bought my shell 4 weeks after I bought my truck, I wasn't
too worried about gas milage at the time, sorry no input.

 As for security, you might want to get one without windows.

 Clearance, I have 33" at the rear and 37" inside, with carpet.
