The cat back system usually comes as several seperate parts.
A muffler shop should be able to remove the pipe from the converter with an
air chisel.
Your best bet is to have them weld the new system together, it is well worth
the extra cost in my opinion.
I had a shop in CA (Mikes Muffler) weld mine together as well as install a 3"
in/out high flow cat and put a piece of 3" pipe from the headers to the cat.
I supplied the cat and the cat-back system, they supplied the custom bent
piece of three inch pipe and a non-shiny exhaust tip (the chrome one is a cop
magnet). They did the whole thing for just over $100 which isn't much
considering the cost of the parts.
I have since removed the cat completely
