I totally agree. Very bad. If we did that in the shop, 1st time was a
warning...2nd time was termination. Clean them with Brake Cleaner or
shake them out...don't blow that stuff in the air...it's also bad for
your lungs.

Blowing out brake dust with compressed air is not safe shop practices
(or
garage practices) It throws a lot of air borne particles up and you
can
breathe it in and ETC. very bad stuff...

You should put a catch pan under it next time and spray them down with
brake
clean....

After hearing a rather nasty grinding noise on my truck last night, I
drove home and took the rear tires/drums off. There was a good amount of
dust buildup in the drums and around the shoes. I fired up the air
compressor and blew everything out.
