Banning guns isn't the solution. Have you been reading the papers lately?
There have been two very horrific killings in Japan where guns are illegal.
What did the perpetrators use? Knives.
Seen what's going on in Australia now that the gov't took away all the guns
from the law abiding citizens? The crooks kept theirs (they always will) and
now they break into homes while people are there to rob them instead of
waiting until the house is empty. In the process, a lot of people who can no
longer defend themselves legally are either killed, beaten, or injured for
life.
Gun laws only apply to law abiding people. People who are set on breaking
the law, are going to do so no matter what the law is.
You have a birth given right to defend yourself. If you give up your right
to bear arms, you are giving up your right to defend yourself. Don't fool
yourself into thinking those who want to hurt, or steal from you, will give
up their guns just because you did.
I'm sick of senseless killings too. To be honest, all killings are
senseless.
Criminals only have bigger, more powerful guns than the police because the
police fail to arm themselves responsibly. Blame that on your local gov't
for not providing them enough funding. Weapons are not the only area of
neglect. Few police stations are properly equipted with transportation, and
officers in most cities even have to purchase their own uniforms. And to be
honest, there are very few individuals, or groups, who have more fire power
than law enforcement.
Off the soap box.

>I am not much of a gun person. With all the killings in the world today, I

>I feel bad for the people that truly respect guns, and the law; However,

>No offense to gun owners on the list. I am just sick of all the senseless
