Yes. Common problem. The AC resistor is actually the Blower fan resistor
block. Depending on what setting you set the fan switch to, selects which
resistor on the block the power flows through. That determines how fast the
fan spins. If you look on the passenger side fire wall from inside the
engine bay you will find a plug varying in the number of wires that plugs
into something screwed into the firewall. (two screws) This has several
coils of varying sizes and diameter of coils inside the vent ducts. The
thing with the coils is the resistor block. Just had to replace it on my
dak and about year ago had to replace it on the crown vic. Shouldn't cost
much. I got one in the junk yard with the plug for $5.
