A/C transistor

So the blower fan on my HVAC system goes out. Just the blower fan. Air turns
on, can even feel cooler air as I drive just no fan. Switch to heat and
still no working.

Take to dealer. They say a A/C resistor went out? Why would this kill the
blower fan in all settings A/C on or off? Anyone ells have this happen.
