There is a good article at hughes engine about modifying manifolds.

I hope this helps you out. I would think either throttle body would help. But
that billet one from F&B
is one fine piece.

Subject: DML: V6 Intake manifold modification????
I just bought an extra intake manifold and want to know how I should modify
it. I have been reading the archives and just have a few questions. First
off my truck has accell coil, brass cap and rotor, autolite's, cold air
intake, modified TB, exhaust, and soon to be car-sound cat, powertrax
locker, and Jet Chip. I know I am going to smooth the runners and radius
the injector ports. How much should I take the plenum down. I have heard
no more than 1 1/2" and 2". What's better for my case. I also want to know
should I change the TB. What's better, the fastman TB or the F&B TB? What
size bores should I go to 48mm or a 50mm? Is there anything else I should
do before I modify my intake? I will be adding 3.92 gears soon if that info
helps any. I do not plan on putting a SCer or nitrous but am open to the
idea of changing the injectors to 19# or 24#. Thanks!
