Thank goodness somebody else saw it! I was hoping I wouldn't have to post
about it on my own because I was afraid nobody would believe me! I mean,
somebody at Mopar performance actually believes that people are out there
wanting to modify Dakota's!! Actually, the segment was really neat and even
showed a mock-up of a rolling 528 Hemi Dakota chassis. They apparently have
every bit of it figured out. He was explaining about the fuel system,
bolt-in 8 3/4" rear with the aluminum center section, shocks, tranny mount,
headers, engine mounts, seems like they've got it all figured out. Now, we
just have to see if #1) they actually produce the kit #2) the parts are ever
available on a regular basis or #3) It's better engineered then some of
their stuff like the MPI manifold(need a fabbed-up kit to mount the TB and
accessories on it) or the 4BBL TB(designed to be extremely hard to make
feasible??). We'll see! At least they're interested, huh?

Hey all I was just watching Speedvision and saw the Hemi Dakota Kit from
Mopar the head of mopar performance was telling all about it. The concept
behind it was a street rod for under $20k and more like 15K it had all you
need 528ci HEMI fuel system headers trans mounts springs and drive shaft it
had it all and he said that he hopes to see more HEMI dakotas on the street.
He even said that they made it a simple project so you can do it all bolt on
in the garage Man I wish I had some money
Chris
