Subject: DML: Update on stuffed R/T

Did some investigating into the stuffed R/T today. Found out his insurance
company is the same as mine and as luck would have it, the insurance agent
is a very good friend of mine. The truck is a write off but will have a
rebuilder tag, the truck runs, will move under it's own power, because of
severe frame and front suspension damage it is undriveable. The front
sheetmetal group is wasted, box is wasted, frame is toast. Both front wheels
are shattered (have been collecting them for my 4by, have 3 so it's ok
there) Cab group is untouched (windshield not even broken)other than slight
damage where the box hit the cab corner. Strangely only the passenger air
bag is blown. the rad, condensor group is dead. Truck has exactly 55
kilometers on it ( that's about 33 miles). Here is the best part!!! as of
Wednesday of next week, it will be sitting in my garage for the grand total
sum of $5000 canadian ( at todays exchange rate, i think that is about $3000
US) Have already located most of the needed parts, frame included and now I
have a winter project. I tell the wife tonite when she gets home
hmmmmm.... I wonder if she will be mad she can't park in the garage for
awhile!!! By the way guys, insurance paid the guy out full total cost of
the truck, his insurance on everything else he owns will skyrocket almost
70%!!!! Sucks to be him! :) Just thought I'd let you know what happened
to it.
