MP short block question

Hey everyone,

I've been pricing out what it'll cost to build a 5.9 for my 95
dak. I've noticed that Mopar perf sells a few magnum short blocks some of
which are listed as service replacements and some that are listed as not
service replacement engines for late model trucks. The only difference I can
see is the cam and the compression (9.1:1 for the service and 9.5:1 for the
non service). they run about $1200. Does any one know of any other
differences between the short blocks or any reason I can't just get the 9.5:1
compression block and swap out the cam for one that the computer can deal
with? (probably just use a hughes engines cam and get a 5.9 MP computer)
