Agreed. I had this problem several years back. Their 8mm wires were arcing
and crossfiring all over the place, so got them replaced under lifetime
warranty (MAJOR hassle, btw). The second set they gave me were 8.5mm wires
and they lasted a coupla months before they started arcing and crossfiring
(this with factory plug gap). Finally said hellwithit, bit the bullet and
got some Magnecors and those wires have been fine ever since. I'm still
running the Jacobs EnergyPak, but can't really say if it does any good. I
do know that if I gap the plugs anywhere beyond 0.035" ('92 5.2L), the
engine will often have major problems running (such as barely starting, then
idling at 300rpm a few seconds before dying) - I'm not sure why the plug gap
affected it that much, but setting it back to factory cured the problems -
go figure.
