engine swap 1990 to 1998

Hello, list.

We need a little assistance. We have a 1990 Dodge Dakota with a V6 3.9L
engine, throttle body/carburator fuel injection system. The engine is
getting very tired, and we picked up a 1998 V6 Magnum with port fuel
injection. Because of computer incompatability we can't just toss the old
one and drop the new one in. We decided to use the main part of the new
engine and the old throttle body. We've sadly discovered that we can't
readily do that either. The 98 throttle body mounts with bolts that go
straight up and down. The old 90 block accomodates the throttle body with
bolts going in on an angle. There is apparently an adapter (part #
P524950?). Does anyone have a line on where we might be able to get this,
relatively inexpensively (aka cheap)? And has anyone had the thrill of
doing such a swap, and could give us some tips and warnings?

Cheers

Judy
