Re: engine swap 1990 to 1998

The original intent when we bought this new motor was to just swap it out -
the old one has close to 250000km on it, and is getting tired. We're not
looking for high performance, or better horsepower, we just want to keep
the truck. The swap seemed like a good idea at the time, certainly much
cheaper than a rebuild, which is why we don't want to go to the expense of
upgrading the entire engine compartment just to accomodate the new block.
If we're going to go to that expense, I think the rebuild would have been
cheaper. We just weren't expecting to find that little snag with the
manifold bolts.
