My truck has ran as fast as 8.92 in the 1/8th mile (at Ohio Valley Raceway in
Louisville KY) on all motor. I also have 125hp nitrous system, but haven't
been able to use it and make any kind of a run at all(traction problems). The
Edelbrock package works very well. No problems sealing the heads at all. I
had .025 milled off the heads and the block zero decked. Now things might
change when I get some passes in on the bottle.Yes, I would say that the tach
doesn't work because of the stock ignition not hooked up. I have a 5 inch
Autometer tach that I use. As for the voltage regulator I have a mopar
P3690731 regulator hooked up to the stock alternator.Currently I am running
the the stock fuel tank and pump. I have a Mallory 3 port return style
regulator that works pretty good.

Thanks for responding. Sounds like your truck could be pretty stout, how's
it run?? What about that Edelbrock package, how's that working out? I know
it's got the aluminum performer heads-are you having problems sealing those
heads or no? Is the reason the tach doesn't work because you bypassed the
factory ignition setup? The alternator deal is likely just because the
voltage regulator is in the PCM and the alternator sees no load until the
regulator loads it and it then begins to charge. Common PCM controlled Mopar
deal. You can get by that by going to an earlier style alternator that is
internally or externally regulated for a non-computer application. Thanks
again for your input,
