Actually my 10/99 45RFE has ATF3. It says so on the dipstick. I heard that
the ATF 4 will misc with the 3. On filters, only one aftermarket company I
have found actually knows the difference between the 45 RFE and the other
(46,44,42). ATP (Automatic Trans. Products). They have separate listings
for 2wd and 4x4 and they ARE different from the older pans. The dealer
p/n's cross exactly to these #'s. I have them on order since mines
approaching 25k. WIX, and fram list the same kit for the 45 RFE as for the
747/904 style trannies. Its not right.
