I've had my PowerTrax no-slip installed for over a year now in my '98 and it is
the balls! I have an automatic transmission so the clunking, chirping and
maneuvering on dry pavement in tight spaces isn't as noticeable as with a manual
tranny. The benefits in terms of traction are extraordinary and installation
was very straight forward as Ed says.
In sum, it's a compromise like everything else but, for me, the increased
traction both on and off-road well outweigh some of the "quirks" of a locker.

Powertrax, I got one on mine, it makes it a whole different animal off
road, just ask any of the Durango Club folks when we go out, lotsa fun
on rutty hills and rock crawls, I just crawl right up, even with the
factory Badyears still on. Since you don't have a posi to begin with
like me, it was a snap to install, took a whopping 1.5 hours, from start
to finish, but a little hint, when installing the parts, use some axle
grease to hold the parts together, it'll save you alot of time and
aggravation :)
