The Prowler's 0-60 time in what? The Prowler's quarter mile time in what?
Not to put down a one of kind production vehicle, but there is no
comparison. Yes! It does have a 17 inch front tire and 20 inch rear -so
this is added friction cost to the drive train without serious power to turn
them.
Prowler's 3.5-liter V6 engine produces 253 horsepower at 6400 rpm and
255-lb.-ft. of torque at 3950. Car weight is 2838lbs, which is only a mere
350lb lighter than the Viper.
Top speed of the 2000 Cobra SVT, which is the model to compare it too
(40,000 dollars range), the Stang has it beaten in every category, to
include the Z06 model.
Again, it is a roadster of choice for cruising.

Have you ever driven a Prowler? My Dad owns the 2001 Prowler in Prowler
Orange and I'd like to say it's faster off the line and top speed than a
Mustang GT. I know because I was driving. With stock 253 hp and 290 tq in
a car that has a very wide stance, weighs 2,800 lbs, and has a lot more
rubber on the road than most cars, how can you say it doesn't perform? I,
too, thought it was all looks--but believe me, it's not. If you're ever in
Eastern Washington State, look for an orange Prowler and I'll prove it to
you. Later...

Sorry but what makes you think the Viper is worth $130,000 or even $80,000.
Because other over priced cars cost that much? I would be much more inclined
to purchase a $50,000 ZO6 Corvette that according to Car and Driver is a
faster(yes faster) better sports car. I also disagree, the Prowler IS
assumed to be a retro performance car, retro yes(looks very cool)
performance NO and again is over priced. Sorry just my .02.
