"Just for reference the new Z06 went 4.0 in the 0-60."

That is because of the rear gears they were using. Check the article for
the gearing and you find that it is a standard for the Chevy to uses the
3.70:1 (in that neighborhood). It would be a lower time if Dodge would put
in a 3.91:1 gear versus those 3.08:1 highway version.

I am hoping that Dodge would up the ante with a 4.01:1 gearing for the R/T
Dakota in Sept of 2003 (2004 model year). The Ford Lightning program is now
an option for this gear.

Again, who cares about the 140MPH top end but I want the bottom end grunt
power.

I'd love to see these cars/truck made and this 2004 R/T would definitely be
on my Christmas list!!! But I've heard these kinds of things from them
before, lets hope they do it this time. Just for reference the new Z06 went
4.0 in the 0-60.
