Vette versus Dodge Viper

The only reason that the Z06 is close, is that it is a newer technology than
the aging 2nd Gen Viper. With the newer 3rd Gen Viper that will be release
next September, you will find a vast difference in numbers again.

Same as with the 2002 Ram truck. Check out the braking, tires size,
gearing, new tranny that will be in the spring time auto 5-speed with an
extra overdrive gear, the safety factor, the paint quality etc... You going
to find this in the Dakota in 2004. Four way disc brakes (larger than
cars), standard 17 inch rims, rides like a car but pull/hauls like a truck.

Um, no. Check out Corvetteforum.com. The Z06 is OVER half a second slower
than most Vipers in the 1/4 and it handles way better too. A Z06 simply can
t touch a Viper in straightline or handling. On a racetrack with even
driversw it's NO contest. Viper is a true supercar, Z06 is not. It's great
for the price, but no Viper or Viper-comparable by any means.

Sorry but what makes you think the Viper is worth $130,000 or even $80,000.
Because other over priced cars cost that much? I would be much more inclined
to purchase a $50,000 ZO6 Corvette that according to Car and Driver is a
faster(yes faster) better sports car. I also disagree, the Prowler IS
assumed to be a retro performance car, retro yes(looks very cool)
performance NO and again is over priced. Sorry just my .02.
