What about switching to a semi-synthetic on a high mileage engine? Could you
get the best of both worlds that way? For myself, I drain the dyno oil at a
1000 miles on a new engine/vehicle and again at 3000. From then on, I run
synthetic. I've been running Mobil 1 but I've heard a lot of good things
about Royal Purple so I may start running that in the Bionic Dodge.
