Here's a reply I recieved from Cardinal on the chrome
powder coat:

Hello Ed,
We do have a powder that simulates chrome. It is the
T358-GR539. While it is probably the best "chrome"
powder on the market, it does have some issues. First
is that all of the "chrome" powders have problems with
marring. And real bad marring related to regular
powders. We recommend a clear coat to keep the
metallic flakes from oxidizing and tarnishing. We
have seen problems with clear coating the GR539 on
thick metal sections. The heat-up rate is critical to
achieve good separation between the coats.
This is a stock powder and available from all of the
Cardinal locations.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Regards,
Clint Emerson
