K&N Filters-shileding material?

Jack,
 Try the Yellow Pages under 'Plastics' for a material called Kydex. It's
real easy to form and work with. Should be great for this application. Make
a dummy shield out of cardboard first. When you're satisfied with the fit,
just use it as a template. The hood seal on the top of the shield could be
made from pipe insulation tubing from Home Depot. Make some brackets to
mount the shield to the radiator area and the wheel well. Another bracket
supports the filter from the bottom and holds it in position. Here's a good
