Rear-facing aux. lights

The other day I was driving home from work and following an F250. This
guy had a light bar either inside the cab at the top of the rear window,
or attached across the back edge of the cab. It was wired into his
regular taillights - when the blinker was on, that side of the bar also
blinked.

Anyone else seen one of these?
