Hey, I've got a 95 dak v6 4x2 with a cat back exhaust system and headers.
With the cat back my truck would pass for a v8 (a small v8 anyways) There
was a little more noise in the cab, and a little more power at the top end.
I added headers JBA silver ceramic shorties and the truck can pass for a 360
now. It's not as fast as the 5.9 by a long shot but it sounds like one.
The headers made more of a performance difference than the exhaust did. I
got about .5 mpg from each mod. The headers made it sound alot better
though.
