Aren't you still under the manufacturer's warranty of 3yr/36k?

Subject: DML: Clutch gone in 32k

Hello,

I have a 2000 quad cab that I purchased new, that has only 32K miles on
it. It is really hard to get into first and reverse. I took it to the
dealer and they told me that I need a new cluth. I have a few questions.

1) Any known issues with the clutch in a 2000 quad cab?

2) The dealer quoted me $1200.00. That seems excessive to me. ????

3) Anybody know any good/trustworthy places to get a second opinion in
the Atlanta, GA area?

One last thought. When I depress the clutch pedal the gear does not
engage until almost the top of the return stroke. That to me seems wrong.
Anybody else seen this behavior.

Thanks in advance.

Drew
