That is not true.

This kind of oil blend is only recommended in high-end street/strip racing.

Example, I use the 10-30 for the Dakota when driving in normal cold - mild
weather and never rev the car to the limited or keep it peg their at any
extended time. However, in the mini car I have, I keep the motor peg in the
upper end of the RPM range and never shift into fourth unless above
80-90MPH. This requires more protection and special racing blend. With
this vehicle, I am constantly pushing the motor to the extreme-meaning more
heat than ever.

With the any recommended manufacture claim, this will only damage the motor,
since it was tested under normal driving condition.

With the heavier 700HP plus muscle car type motors and weekend drags on the
street I use the 50W only. This range will protect the engine against
extreme heat, extreme pegging the pedal (hahahaha) and so forth...

It all depends on your driving style on the vehicle.

Normal driving< use the recommended manufacture range.

I would not recommend this for a street motor, it takes alot of power in
turning the oil pump to pump the thicker oil through the oil valley holes to
lubricate all the parts. But for a race motor built up with alot of power
,Yes I would use the 20w50 wt then.. You should be using 10w30 or 10w40 wt.
in your motor now.
