Front wheel bearings for 97+ 2WD ???

DMLers,
I have a 97 2WD Club Cab and was curious if you guys
have ever packed the front wheel bearings ?
If so, at what interval should they be packed ?
How do you get that 1 3/8" nut off and what should if be tightened to ?
