Hey, Andy,
If you opt to try replacement batts...check em first with a multimeter set
for Millivolts. There's no way you can tell how long a batt has been sitting
around on a store shelf, after it was sitting on a warehouse shelf. The
millivolt reading should exceed the batt's rating (ie....A 1.5 volt batt -
when new- should be near or exceed 1.6 volts). You'd be surprised how many
bad batts we find at Best Fire when we go to install fireplace remotes...
