Rick, I have a current project vehicle that I swapped out the last owners
original stock intake. The first test intake was a chrome Acrue Cermanic
Chrome tube that modify in my garage and works great. Then I decided to go
with a carbon fiber version and S&B style cone to match.

There was no manufacture for this project vehicle so I looked around for a
tube with the correct geometry shape and two inlet pipes off the intake
tube. I found another vehicle manufacture that could be used and modify it
and works great. The finally cost? $49.95.

You can look at your current intake design and purchased one off of ebay and
save your money. The only exception is the Z Tube from Intense Performance
for the 4.7ltr engine. It is costly tube but I found it was well worth the
money and a perfect match.

Subject: DML: Where to start?, little help please

Hello all, i am fairly new to this group, i have been reading for months but
have never posted.
I had been looking for a truck for the longest time, and i just bought this
one, i love this thing, 97 FlameRed SLT. The guy who owned it before me(one
owner) took sweet care of it. He left it stock, but in mint. The 5.2 gives
lots of kick, but of course noone puts up with the 17 mpg if they dont want
to dress it up a little.
The first thing i got was an Airaid Intake system, fairly new on the scene
so i hear, but they look and act just like a K&N, same filter even. And that
is as far as i have gone. Up here in the Canada, the system cost about $375.
My question is this, i am now looking at where to go from here. I am not too
inclined yet to dig into the guts yet, so something bolt-on would be a nice
start. I have been looking at catback exhaust. I have narrowed it down to
gibson and flowmaster. Any personal picks here? I would like a nice powerful
sound to it. (to scare off those little annoying S10s people drive around
here) Anyway, thats my story. I love the truck and would now like to start
the work. I have started a site to document my work, but i am in tax-season
and have limited time right now.

One other question, does anyone know of a list existing that lists the
different add-ons and the estimated HP generated by each?
Thanks for the help and suggestions guys!
