Fan Clutch

I'm going to replace my fan clutch over this weekend. The current fan
spins with some resistance when cold and more resistance when hot (as I
would expect), but it's a little too loud for my taste. When I opened
the box to my new napa severe duty fan, I was a little shocked the fan
was hard to spin, but I'm thinking that this is due to it not being
mounted...

Are there any gotchas involved in this change? It looks a though I can
do the job without removing the fan shroud, but I'll probably need a
1-3/8" open end wrench, and a smaller one to remove the fan bolts.
Obviously disconnecting the battery's a good idea. :)
