Hey, DML!
Cripes....I wouldn't wish this problem on a Chebby owner! I got the
remainder of the damn thing out...hadda step drill to get it all..(7 STEPS,
to be exact...). Of COURSE the threads are gone so...no prob, right?... I
figger I'll just put a nut & some thread locker on the back side - where the
bolt comes thru the lower suspension arm boss...NOT! The damn forging allows
for ZERO clearance on the back side to get a nut on the bolt. Ok...I'll do
some grinding on the nut so that I can at least get a thread or two to
engage...THEN I'll put the thread locker on & crank it down wiht the torque
wrench....
WELL...IT'S GONNA WAIT TIL MORNING...Damn black flies..(mutter...mumble..) I
ate enough of them to last me a week on a low carb/high protein diet!
