coming from miami, i know that mildewy smell well (unfortunately, from
inside my truck... but those are many stories). what you may want to do is
just take out the plugs on the liner, or park the truck on an incline. you
may also want to leave the liner open for a couple of hours a week until the
smell goes away.

if you have any more problems with the smell, i seriously doubt that its
coming from the liner. that's cuz it doesn't really compress any part of
the bed. the manufacturers know that due to the nature of the stuff you put
back there, some of it will eventually get under the liner. that's why they
prevent flow to the bed, but they don't trap the moisture in there.

try to see if these things work. they should.

Subject: DML: bedliner question

I have never had a bedliner before so I was just wondering if anyone
else had experienced this or it was just my luck. I put a factory Dodge
bedliner in my truck about a month ago and I have a tonneau cover on it. In
the last few days every time I open the tailgate I get a wet mildewy smell
coming out of the bed. It isn't coming from the cover, it seems to be from
the liner, maybe from underneath. It didn't smell that way when I put it in.
We have had a lot of rain lately, but the bed always seemed dry. Anyone else
have this problem? Any suggestions?
