I think a lot of people expect way too much out of this thing. All these
mods that you buy go hand in hand with each other. Don't expect a $30 mod
to give you 30 hp. It ain't gonna happen. The IAT adjuster changes the
calculations that determine the A/F mixture optimization tables. You
probably won't feel the minute changes. You may hear some differences as
the timing changes and this may cause more or less pinging. But it isn't
going to grab you by the seat of your pants and add 200 lb/ft of torque to
your engine. HP/torque costs a lot of money and as you acquire the less
costly options and feel the need for speed each additional HP after that is
going to be quite expensive. Not only that, but if you start choosing some
of the more expensive options and do not choose others, you may find
yourself with very expensive repair or overhaul bills. At that point it no
longer is an option.

While I haven't really noticed a lot of difference from the butt Dyno, I did
do a check once to test it out... I have an OBD-II scanner that lets me get
all my sensor readouts (one that hooks up to laptop).. with the IAT adjuster
off, I'd be sitting at 180+ on my IAT.. Kill engine, turn it on, turn
engine back on.. IAT is now within 10 degrees of what the Dial is set for..
so if my dial is set at 40, I read somewhere between 30 - 35. So, mine is
definitely working.. However, by the butt dyno, I have done WOT runs on
the local roads with and without my hypertech PCM hooked up, and have
noticed 0 difference, except for the occasinal extra pinging.. thou my MPG
did go up by about 1mpg with the PCM, but had to start using 93 octane as
well.
