So, those are 16" rims? You will have to pardon my ignorance on tire
classifications, I used to understand them a long time ago when all I
had was a Mustang II, but now they seem much more complicated.

On my 2K QC 4.7 4x4, I have the 15x8 wheels and the 31x10.5R15 OWL
tires. I am thinking I will need to replace them around August or so.

What I really want to do is move to larger rims, but I want to keep the
proportion of rubber similar (I think then wheels look cheesy on 4x4
pick-ups). I do go off-road about once a month, and usually onto very
rough (4x4 only) trails about once every 4 months. I want a fairly
agresive pattern, but it sounds like if I went to 33" tires on 17" rims
it would be rubbing on a standard height 4x4 Dak.

Does anyone have a successful non-rubbing combo they can recommend?

Thanks,
Brian T. Carter

Ok i just used the tire/wheel calculator, And it looks like the
275x70x16 is
a better fit than the 265x75x16 tires. between these two the 275 is
1.73"
lrgr diameter than the 265x70x16, wont rub anywhere, the 265x75x16 is
3.28"
lrgr than the 265x70x16 this will rub. On stock heighth Dak 4x4. and
with
the 275 you get approx 1/2" more in tread width.
